PRO TEC 500 provides premium quality service in both diesel and gasoline engines. It is specially formulated for heavy-duty service in diesel engines found in both on-highway and off-highway vehicles and equipment.
Product Benefits
PRO TEC 500 is specially formulated with advanced dispersant technology to resist oil thickening, caused by incomplete engine combustion which generates soot. The dispersant minimizes sludge formation and effectively keeps particles in suspension to extend filter life. Since it is also recommended for gasoline engines, PRO TEC 500 provides mixed fleet operators the convenience of a single line of motor oils for all vehicles.
Applications
· PRO TEC 500 is recommended for crankcase lubricant of diesel engine in automotive, industrial and heavy construction equipment, either naturally aspirated or equipped with turbo chargers.
· Where grade simplification is desired as in fleet conditions, it is also recommended for gasoline engines in passenger cars and trucks operating under engine manufacturer’s maintenance procedures.
· The SAE 10W and SAE 30 grades conform to GMC Allison specifications type C-3 for hydraulic transmission fluids and can therefore be used in automatic transmission, torque converter / hydraulic systems where oils of such quality are called for.

PRO TEC 500 meets the requirements of API CF/CF-2/SF and also the following specifications; ACEA E1-96, MB p.227.0, Caterpillar TO2 Friction Test, MIL-L-2104D, MIL-L-46152B, Allison C-3/C-4.
